Once again, La Vinyeta and the designer Lluís Serra are represented in the prestigious Laus awards of graphic design. The wine Llavors won a Gold Laus Award two years ago in the category of packaging, and this year La Vinyeta’s eggs —called Outòcton— has been selected in two categories, logo and naming. The jury’s final verdict will be announced in June during the awards ceremony, Night Laus.
Otherwise, Outòcton also had their representation in Innofòrum Awards, where it was exhibited in the showcases during this Fòrum Gastronòmic de Girona
On the past edition of the Laus 09 award Lluís Serra Pla and La Vinyeta got the prestigious award Golden Laus for the labelling of the Llavors wine, on the category of ‘Packaging and Labelling Design’. This award boosts the image of the winery. Since then, we can find many different articles that refers to our wines in some magazines and graphic design books as the French publication Étapes, magazines as On Diseño and Chois Gallery, books as Wine plus and Pack pack or The die line website.
On the first fair Arrels del Vi (Roots of the Wine) the Llavors wine was chosen for the public as the best red wine. On the second edition, the Punt i apart wine was awarded on a blind tasting for prestigious sommeliers as the best red wine of the fair. La Vinyeta is proud for been awarded again in this new edition, with Sols sweet wine, chosen second best sweet wine.
This third edition of the fair Arrels de vi took place on May 22nd and 23rd in Sant Martí d’Empúries. Our wine Punt i apart has been chosen as the official wine of the centenary of Costa Brava, among the best wines of Emporda. In the Fòrum Gastronòmic de Girona, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board presented last Tuesday the wines of the centenary of the Costa Brava. The presentation has gone by the sommelier Roger Viusà —Sommeliers European champion 2008—.
A group of accredited sommeliers —like Josep Roca of El Celler de Can Roca—have chosen wines that will be wearing an identifying label with the name ‘Centennial Wine’. Our wine Punt i apart has been chosen as the best vintage black, Blanc Floresta as a young white and Grenache Gran Reserva of Celler Coperatiu d’Espolla as a sweet wine.
