As any other tale, Heus is the beginning; it is the starting point where great number of stories comes up. From the illustrator’s hand Marta Altés, this serial of three stories bring into life the youngest wines of La Vinyeta, the Heus, with a fresh and easy going language. On the past edition of the Laus 09 award Lluís Serra Pla and La Vinyeta got the prestigious award Golden Laus for the labelling of the Llavors wine, on the category of ‘Packaging and Labelling Design’. This award boosts the image of the winery. Since then, we can find many different articles that refers to our wines in some magazines and graphic design books as the French publication Étapes, magazines as On Diseño and Chois Gallery, books as Wine plus and Pack pack or The die line website.
If we put together eager and creative mind to a solid base of knowledge and severity, the result can be surprising. ÉS Poma is a mistela made from Grenache of l’Empordà and apple juice of Girona. Pep Nogué and La Vinyeta, apple and Grenache, Girona and l’Empordà. Like two jigsaw pieces this is a mistela of fusions. Apple in nose, Grenache in mouth. Could you imagine an innovative product with more links to the land?
Pep Nogué is described as gastronomy passionate, great chef, tireless theoretician and gastronomic journalist, restless cook without restaurant… He studied at the School of Hospitality & Catering of Girona and he was working at El Celler de Can Roca for thirteen years. He has published the books ‘The best cuisine for the summer” and ‘Eat for 1 Euro”, he does gastronomy TV shows, also collaborates with magazines and radio shows and is the creator of Keks beer. In short, Pep Nogué is a gourmet of La Garrotxa.
