Art and wine at the
Conca de Barberà
Everything starts behind the walls of Montblanc. In one of the towers, in a quiet basement, a stone basin provides the ideal temperature to the mother yeasts that give rise to these wines. Vins de Pedra (Stone Wines) it is the personal project of Marta Pedra. It is also a reencounter with her origins. In her small winery, Marta handles her wines like unique pieces. It is not only meant the content but also the label, which every year reflects the artwork of Victor Pedra, Marta’s uncle and godfather. The label maintains always the same iconography but it is represented with a different fine art.
Negre de Folls
Indigenous varieties only. Cherry-coloured with violet tones, bright, young and lively. Highly aromatic intensity on the nose combining raspberries and other red berries with spicy notes and hints of licorice and black pepper. In the mouth fresh and meaty with smooth and well integrated tannins. Balsamic and fresh finish. Easy to drink and share, perfect to be served with light dishes.
Blanc de Folls
Pale yellow, clear and bright. In the nose dominate floral notes merging white flowers with white fruits. The palate is delicate with a surprising refreshing acidity, which lengthens the finish leaving a feeling that combines fresh white fruits with notes of citrus peel. Perfect to enjoy any appetizer, from the simplest to the most sophisticated dishes
Flight of pigeons
L’Orni is a white wine 100% Chardonnay, which presents a bright and pale yellow colour. In the nose shows complexity with aromas of pear and ripe melon and a touch of tropical aromas. In the mouth it is silky, smooth and voluminous. The work made with fine lees (battonage) can be recognized providing a long and persistent finish. It is a white wine with well-balanced acidity, which maintains its freshness leaving a smooth sensation at the end. Elaborated with 15 years old vineyards placed at 350 meters above the sea level, in calcareous and poor soils. It is a good match for elaborated dishes, such soggy rice, as well as white meats with sauce and fowls...
Source of inspiration
La Musa is a blended red wine with the grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 12 moths in oak. It is a wine with a red ruby colour and a middle-intensive robe. Expressive nose with tones of cacao and chocolate complemented with red fruits, balsamic aromas and hints of black pepper. In the mouth freshness and elegance is sustained by well-balanced acidity. It has a long persistent finish. Elaborated with 30 years old vineyards placed 400 meters above the sea level, in clay-calcareous soils. Aged 10-12 months in new French oak. It is a good match for sausages and cold meats, stews and other elaborate dishes with red meat and fowls...
Is a monovarietal wine from the indigenous grape variety Trepat. This variety has been underestimated for a long time, but it has managed to persist over time and it is now recognized and loved as it deserves. Flagship and pride at the Conca wine region, this is a complex and polyvalent grape variety. Its particular maturation requires different harvest times within the same parcel in order to achieve an optimum maturation. This factallows elaborating young fresh white wines, oak-fermented white wines, as well as rose or red wines.
